Close but not close enough. Loved but not loved enough. This is probably not what he wanted. But He sees what he sees and does what he does- to keep them happy. Here is where the earth lies still. This is the boy with the iron will. You ask for a story and you get a soul. Fuel to the fire, as written, permanent, in marker. Sketched in ink, falling in too deep. There never was such a face. such a voice. Trapped in the words written on a piece of paper. Waiting to be free. These are the faces and the places of a broken past. These are the wishes and desires one can only wish that could last. He can hear and he can see and he can feel. But he does it all to keep them happy. And all this time, being so good to the world he created. All this time, wanting to be fed. wanting, starving, searching for a place to hide. So we dont have to grow up so soon. So this is how he felt, The Drunken and broken left him pieces of his past to clean up with the hands of a hero. So this is how he felt, the silent ticking of a time bomb. So this is how he felt, trying to prevent the explosion. So this is how he felt, when he failed. This is the story we all write. This is the story of all the wrongs and all the rights. The story of influence, addiction, to the ones we loved and lost. The story of a remarkable soul in a troubled world. This is is His story. The paper folded and untold. The story we all lost as we grew up.
So this is his story. Written to keep them happy.

"A human being is a part of a whole. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty"
-Albert Einstein
