what would you say if I told you
you're life was a game.
If I told you nothing ever,
stays the same.
If one and one
added up to nothing.
what would you do
if you could never change.
what would you say
if i told you,
life was a game.
the pieces are set in stone. we are standing absolute on a black and white checkered board. Shifting, turning, falling. playing the game no one wants to play. doing the dirty work. but our hands are clean. somehow we find ourselves on the other side- faceless. we exist as a particle of time. an idea.
an idea, in motion.
this idea is the concept of perfection.
in sunday school you may have learned this game. built upon our faith's lost security. what to do, where to go, who to be.
perfect.
but without flaw, there can be no happiness.
without fault, we have no purpose.
the idea of humanity itself leans on the principle of falling short. and as a race, we've killed, we've prayed, we've faught, to find what we thought would bring perfection. solution. calm.
we search for what we do not have, and find what we've had the whole time. it's the game with no start, no cause, and no end.. unbroken and unbounded.
the truth is, we were designed for entropy.
and this is the battle, the game.
the game we all play.
fighting against our own mistakes, our own faults, the ultimate makeup of our individulaity
searching for peace of mind.
searching for perfection.
wanting more?
or wanting something else instead.
wanting the be something else.
or to become perfect.
what if i told you,
you didnt have to change.
what if i told you,
we were meant to fall.
what if i told you,
the purpose of life
isnt to be perfected.
but to exist as imperfectly perfect as we were meant to be.
to see the good and bad as a whole
not to fight against your weaknesses,
but to embrace them.
be content with what you have, who you are, and what you've done.
become who you want to be and do what you want to do.
or die trying.

"A human being is a part of a whole. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty"
-Albert Einstein
